Job Overview - Accounting Manager
Join our client's team as an Accounting Manager and lead a dedicated team of accounting professionals, driving excellence in financial operations and fostering professional development opportunities. As an Accounting Manager oversee special projects, resolve complex issues, and contribute to the growth and success of the organization.
Compensation: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 + 20% bonus
Location: New Castle County, DE - Hybrid
Responsibilities as the Accounting Manager include:
- Accounting Team Leadership: Oversee a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Project Management and Collaboration: Lead special projects across the organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, implement best practices, and drive operational efficiency.
- Accounting Issue Resolution: Resolve complex accounting issues and discrepancies, leveraging strong analytical skills and technical expertise to address challenges and optimize financial performance.
- Accounting Team Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the accounting department.
- Strategic Initiative Development: Partner with senior management to develop and implement strategic initiatives, contributing insights and recommendations to support organizational goals and objectives.
- Compliance and Controls Management: Ensure adherence to internal controls, external regulations, and accounting standards, maintaining the integrity and reliability of financial information.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the finance department with professionalism and integrity.
Qualifications of the Accounting Manager include:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Big 4 audit or combination experience, preferably with commercial clients.
- CPA required.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop team members.
- Positive attitude and collaborative mindset, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Adept at navigating complex accounting issues and driving solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
