The Accounting Manager oversees the Company's general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, expense reports, credit card administration, general ledger maintenance, fixed asset administration and sales and use tax administration.
Requirements:
1. Accounts Payable:
- Oversees the timely processing, approvals and coding of all vendor invoices, employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions.
2. Fixed Assets:
- Oversees the addition of all purchased assets into the Company's fixed asset system.
- Monitors and records all fixed asset disposals, transfers and sales.
3. General Ledger Maintenance:
- Primary responsibility for month end closings.
- Prepares and posts all journal entries and provides supporting details.
- Prepares and reviews detailed account reconciliations.
- Provides monthly cost center reports with explanations for key variances.
- Assists with annual audit field work and reconciliations.
- Performs ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
4. Sales & Use Tax Administration:
- Ensures timely filing of all monthly, quarterly & annual state sales & use tax returns using Avalara system.
- Ensures timely filing of all Canadian federal and provincial HST/GST/PST returns.
5. Supervisory:
- Oversees the day-to-day activities of the Staff Accountant.
- Develops staff by managing performance, setting goals, and providing ongoing support and training.
Compensation details: 80000-90000 Yearly Salary
