Stuteville Ford of Atoka of Durant has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager.
The Accounting Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the administrative and financial activities of the dealership and reports directly to the Controller. The Accounting Office Manager is responsible for dealership accounting, monthly financial statements, payroll, general office procedures, and training and supervising accounting staff. Responsibilities
- Completes month and end-year processes such as financial statement submissions, tax submissions, etc.
- Performs semi-monthly and special payroll cycles, completes payroll tax requirements, and conducts employee benefit deductions in coordination with Human Resources specifications.
- Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable). Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs.
- Compile data and prepare a variety of reports.
- Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers.
- Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Investigates questionable data.
- Manage a small office staff.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Knowledge of financial statements, regulations and laws governing dealerships.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at multi-tasking.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
- Strong ethics, integrity, and dependability.
- Dealership accounting experience preferred.
- Undergraduate Accounting degree preferred but not required.
- R&R or ADP software experience desirable.
