We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team! An Accounting Manager who handles the overall property management, and processes of a centralized accounting department and who shares our values of Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership, and Now!
JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to oversee the smooth and efficient processing of accounting-related information and systems at the property level according to HRI Lodging standards. The Accounting Manager will provide a leadership role in all accounting-related issues at the property.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· 3 to 5 years of hotel accounting experience.
· Experience in the hotel industry preferred.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
· Must work with attention to detail.
· Strong work ethic.
PHYSCICAL REQUIRENENTS
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs at a time.
JOB DUTIES
Perform all normal month-end close duties for the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Salt Lake City Downtown including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and other balance sheet account reconciliations.
· Review monthly general ledger accounts for accuracy.
· Review and post daily uploads from the property management system.
· Review and approve daily flash reporting.
· Reconcile intercompany balances between the hotel and corporate accounting.
· Assist with annual budget preparation for hotel operations.
· Assist with annual audits by completing required audit schedules and supplying supporting documentation.
· Assist with special projects and provide support to other departments.
