Job description
Plan, coordinate and direct the activities of financial reporting, budgeting, and year-end audit.Develop and update accounting processes in SAP related to job responsibilities.Supervise, coordinate and direct the work of the staff. Hire, train and develop employees.Recommend compensation and employee status changes.Coordinate the month-end closings.Execute assessments and internal order settlement, review reporting and consolidated financial data.Coordinate closings with plant controllers, MIS, and accounts payable/payroll departments.Assign and review all accounting activities including journal entries, accounting analysis and reports.Recommend methods, systems, and procedural changes to improve operating efficiency and financial information.Review financial statement detail for reasonableness and identify trends and unusual items.Develop and update accounting processes in SAP.Control and coordinate the detail input of the annual budget and budget reports for management.Assign, review and coordinate the year-end audit schedules.Research accounting issues and prepare special reports and projects.Develop and update departmental procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Request
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 6 years experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or corporate environment preferred.
- At least 2 years supervisory experience of professional and clerical personnel
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Soft Skills- Must be career minded, seeking continued growth as well as a team player. Willing to help out wherever and whenever needed. Approaches new assignments with a “can do” attitude.
