Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance in overseeing AR, AP, IJ and some GL entries and reconciliation in accordance with all related local and corporate policies and procedures. The Accounting office structure may vary and responsibilities will be adapted as required. This position will support Hyatt Grand Central.

Salary Range 67K - 85K

Responsibility Examples:

• Prepare daily and monthly journal entries, including but not limited to income journal and month-end accruals
• Maintain Hyatt’s credit policies with relation to AR and Collections
• Acts as hotel finance liaison with Hyatt Shared Services for both AR and AP queries
• Enters invoices for payment in an efficient and timely manner. Researches outstanding balances and statement reconciliation with vendors
• Review preliminary financial statements with Director of Finance
• Participate in monthly financial reviews and assist Director of Finance with the presentation of these reports
• Assist Director of Finance with special reporting and analysis projects

Experience

• Hospitality or Accounting degree preferred
• 2 years or more of progressive Accounting experience, preferably in a hotel
• Prior Hyatt systems (including (but not limited to) Opera, Oracle, Hyperion, and Kronos) expertise preferred
• Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
• Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must have excellent organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills
