The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an accounting Intern! You will be part of a team of talented individuals who are responsible for all areas of the accounting function at One Medical. This is a fast-paced role, with opportunities to learn business processes and systems, interact with cross-functional stakeholders, and gain hands-on experience with working with various teams within the accounting organization.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, detail-oriented and people-oriented. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in a career in accounting or auditing.
What you'll likely work on:
- Assist the Commercial Revenue, Senior Health Revenue, GL Accounting and SOX teams with various instrumental initiatives
- Support and/or lead process improvement and other ad hoc projects
- Be a key participant of the month-end close process and analytical review over areas of responsibility
- Work in a cross-functional manner with Controllership, FP&A, Sales and Sales Operations, Legal and Partnership to ensure the integrity of financial information, resolve accounting issues and provide financial/accounting advice
What you'll need:
- Must have at least three years of university completed
- A good understanding of US GAAP accounting
- Growth mindset and desire to learn
- Attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong collaborator
- Good judgment, problem identification and problem-solving ability
This is a paid hourly internship, 40-hour per week for at least ten weeks. Our 2024 internship program is a virtual internship in which interns can be located in any state that we operate in on Pacific Standard Time, however your core hours will align with the standard business hours for the team you are working with during your internship.
