Accounting & Finance Team leader

  • Contract Duration 6+ months


Purpose of Job:
How the job contributes to the purpose of the function

  • To enable business transformation and secure long-term profitable growth and independence through financial steering and decision support, operational excellence, and compliance.
  • The Group Financial Controlling team leads the Financial Controlling Function providing support to the three core businesses 
  • To lead, steer, and support our clients financial reporting that is beneficial to people & planet and protects and adds value to our assets, securing profitable growth and financial independence
  • By providing Accounting and reporting services, supporting a strong compliance framework, and effective governance to enable entrepreneurship and safeguard our people, customers, and businesses.


Purpose Of Function Purpose of Job:

  • Lead the development of the team based on the global finance, organizational, and people development direction to secure the right competencies, performance, and succession.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve effective and efficient Accounting and reporting processes and routines.
  • Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities.
  • Secure that the team members are working according to the A&R manual as well as local GAAP.
  • Support the team with specific accounting and reporting-related questions.
  • Support relevant functions as a trustful and professional business partner in Accounting & Reporting matters with the aim of offering the customer a seamless shopping experience.
  • Contribute to the business plan process and set clear goals and action plans together with the team in alignment with the business plan and function goals.
  • Coordinate and/or support internal and external audits, review and follow up on audit findings and recommendations.
  • Contribute to local and global projects from an A&R perspective.
  • Secure and maintain a connection with and between core areas, business owners, group functions, and process teams within our client Group.
  • Secure cross-organizational readiness and continued business growth in terms of competence, performance, and succession by enabling an end-to-end approach.
  • Ensure a safe environment for co-workers and external consultants and contractors in accordance with our client policies

  • Excellent knowledge of how to plan, and measure financial records in compliance with internal and external regulations and ensuring value for money in reaching business objectives and long-term profitable growth.
  • Good understanding of data science, new technologies, analytics, and their wide-ranging application in a business context.

  • Good knowledge of project management processes including methods and tools; and how to integrate them.
  • Good knowledge of the customer needs, demands, and expectations of the markets.

  • 5+ years of increasingly responsible accounting experience in a similar or larger organization.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of a broad set of accounting principles 
  • Experience in the use of automated accounting systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office skills.
  • Experience in multicultural and multinational organizations.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English.
  • Proven skills in developing people and providing support, coaching, training, and career direction to others.
