Accounting Assistant - Billing

The Billing/Payables Accounting position ensures that all customer invoices are processed on time. All vendor payables are recorded with the appropriate documentation correctly and timely. This position requires the ability to be flexible and adaptable in a growing company environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

Accounts Payable
o Code vendor payables correctly and enter accurately.
o Create weekly AP payment file for review.
o Work with plant regarding POs and GRNs for vendor invoices.
o Reconcile vendor statements and payment records.
o Correspond with vendors regarding billing and payments.
o Maintain a permanent file on each vendor, per vendor checklist.
o Responsible for year-end 1099s and COI.

Billing
o Maintain Load out reports for customers.
o Manage load out information and create schedules for customer invoicing.
o Correspond with customers regarding orders and invoicing.

o Review inventories to assure receipts and transfers are correctly recorded and maintained.

Other duties
o Prepare weekly fuel and rental equipment reports
o Maintain check register.
o Cross train as back up for other operations.

o Assist with year-end audits and reviews.

Skills

• Highly organized with great time-management skills

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in general accounting, accounts payable, and invoicing.
• Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with ERP system
• Experience in Syspro is desirable.

Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year
