Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. The Accounting Assistant will support the accounting department in various tasks, including financial record-keeping, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting background and be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel.

DUTIES

- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports

- Perform account reconciliations and analysis

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

- Support the preparation of tax returns and audits

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting

- Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices

- Proficiency in debits, credits, and general ledger reconciliation

- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
