Summary of Position

We are a rapidly growing national security and surveillance provider looking to hire a detail-oriented individual to fill an immediate opening in our Finance Department. Our ideal candidate is comfortable in a business casual, fast-paced environment. This candidate enjoys data-entry, ability to collaborate, can work well without supervision, and possesses strong customer service skills.

Essential Job Functions

Accounts Payable

• Enter and pay bills in a timely manner
• Work with internal departments to confirm accuracy of invoices
• Respond in a timely manner to vendor or department managers? inquiries related to payables
• Ensure coding, entering, and filing of invoices are accurate and have been entered in various systems properly
• Create a positive relationship with vendors and collect all necessary documents for them to be an active vendor in our system
• Reconcile QuickBooks invoice entries with our internal inventory and PO tracking system

Accounts Receivable

• Ensure payments are posted and applied to the correct customer and invoice
• Enter payments received daily
• Proper filing of documents received
• Assist with collections calls and following up on open invoices
• Create a positive relationship with customers and provide all necessary documents for them to provide payment

Job Skills and Requirements

• Basic networking knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to be efficient in accurate data entry
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office applications
• Quick problem-solving and mathematic skills
• Firm grasp on basic accounting principles, practices and basic bookkeeping skills
• Prior experience in the accounting field, preferred
