• About You
• We are seeking someone who is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing various accounting functions across the organization and its related entities. This role plays a critical part in interacting with suppliers, as well as local, state, and federal personnel. Stay updated on changes in accounting practices required by law and must be familiar with relevant accounting software.
• You will need:
• Full Vaccination against COVID-19 – CA required
• Four-year degree in Accounting or Business Administration

• Experience working in behavioral health or in residential care - preferred
• Your Responsibilities
• Your role as an Accountant you will be responsible for activities and operations in the accounts payable department. Analyzing invoices and expense reports for accuracy and eligibility for payment. Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and maintaining accurate financial records and control reports.
• Process, review, and match purchase orders to invoices before making payments to vendors.
• Organize and process accounts payable data entry, ensuring correct coding.
• Enter invoices, obtain approval, and process payment runs as required.
• Ensure payments are made according to contract terms.
• Collaborate with the team to resolve questions or problems.
• Coordinate and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Ensure timely payments to avoid penalties.
• Maintain an up-to-date chart of accounts and collaborate with Senior Accounting Staff on any revisions.
• Maintain accurate accounting records within QuickBooks.
• Audit and process employee expense reports.
• Ensure consistency between ERP billing and QuickBooks accounts receivable.
• Enter Residential, Room and Board, and Professional Services billing into QuickBooks, ensuring consistency with EMR (Harmony).
• Perform monthly billing for board and care and private clients.
• Conduct periodic personal needs audits and assist in training while developing procedures to ensure proper handling of clients' funds.
