Accountant

As our Accountant in this hybrid role (20-25 hours per week with at least 1.5 days in RSS Louisville, KY office each week), you will be foundational in establishing and maintaining the company financials and be hands-on in the daily accounting functions for running the business. To thrive in this role, you must have year over year experience developing departmentalized company level financial documents and budgets.You'll need to be confident in US GAAP standard and maintaining accurate records across all functions (General Ledger, AP, AR, Bank Reconciliation, etc.).

Finally, you should take joy in helping people by answering questions and be willing to learn the business at a deep level to fully understand the implications to accounting. You also must have a clear credit and background check as you will be dealing with financial information.

Here’s What You Can Expect

• To be hands-on and have responsibility for all aspects of the accounting functions including
  1. Accounts payables; Inventory; Cash flow projection; Bank reconciliation; General ledger reconcilition; Journal entries; Monthly financial reports for company & departments; Annual budget production with monthly P&L comparisons; State management (SUI, annual reporting, etc.)
• To be looked to as the subject matter expert and resource for information
• Dedicated to developing relationships with and responding to colleagues, directors, vendors, clients
• Daily operate in several software systems including QBO, our CRM software Tigerpaw, BNG for payment processing and PNC online for bank reconciliation
• Monthly, you will complete the month close, monthly financials (P&L, Balance Sheet, Budget Update, depreciation) and present them to the department managers with relevant trend data
• Annually, work with department managers and leadership on budget projections, annual financials to present to the CPA.
