Accountant - Restaurant Accounting

Ensure financial integrity of all field oriented P&L and balance sheet accounts through accurate and timely audit and reconciliation. Communicate accounting procedures to Operations and provide support so that all stores are in compliance. Perform all responsibilities while maintaining high levels of customer service and 100% compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements and internal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Validate accuracy of polled sales through the use of exception query investigations and resolution of issues.

• Reconcile daily cash and credit card deposits using TREC’s Software and report all late/missing deposits to Operations while following up on uncollected/unreconciled items in a timely manner.
• Ensure accurate P&L’s each period through exception query investigation and resolution continuing through the answering of Operations P&L questions completed by end of Period.

• Balance Sheet Reconciliations accurately completed by the deadline set by published accounting calendar with unusual items properly followed up on and completely explained.

• Assist with analysis, audit requests and other project work as needed

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively, meet the deadlines assigned, and make sound decisions with limited supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Product Suite, especially Excel
• 2-4 years relevant work experience
• Prior experience with Oracle

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is 7.5% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
