Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed financial statements in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulatory standards.
- Support external and internal audit processes by providing necessary documentation, financial data, and explanations of financial practices.
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and other statutory requirements relevant to public companies.
- Conduct regular reviews of financial procedures and internal controls to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with the finance team to implement improvements in financial systems and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency in reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations and standards affecting public companies, applying this knowledge to internal practices.
- Work closely with auditors to facilitate the audit process, addressing any findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Excellent attention to detail and patience, with a warm and mild personality.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
