Energy Transfer Crude Marketing buys and sells crude across various location in the continental US in most major markets. The position will perform duties which lead to the settlement and recording of these activities. The current team exist of several members performing similar duties with various degrees of complexity and analysis. This position has been created to offer a person with limited knowledge of the settlement process an opportunity to join our team and learn our business.
Summary
This position is part of the Accounting and Finance organization and supports the Crude Oil Acquisition and Marketing segment of Energy Transfer. Position will involve working with counterparties to settle monthly crude trading activity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Settle, prepare and analyze monthly purchase and sales counterparties
- Actualize pipelines for volume activity
- Process transportation invoices for assigned pipelines
- Provide explanation for Open items related to assigned counterparties
- Manage and provide recovery or open items while working with commercial on differences
- Work with team to forecast cash flow and report out on cash collections

- Related experience with settlements and volume activity
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- Highly detailed oriented
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
- Must be present to work overtime during keys periods (settlements)
- Ability to communicate with various groups and across multiple teams
- General understanding of accounting for purchases and sales of any commodity
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers and assist in resolving settlement issues
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
- The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
