Accountant - Banking

This role will play a critical role in the newly established, local USA Banking team by helping to prepare store banking

reconciliations, Retail Operations reporting and month-end journals. This role will, work together with the other Accountant

Banking team, will own all regions within The Americas – currently including USA, Canada and Mexico with further expansion

planned.

The Accountant Banking will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of:
• Daily Banking Functions & reporting
• Daily Banking reconciliations for stores
• Daily Missed banking reporting
• Weekly Cash variance reporting
• Variance investigations and leasing with Loss Prevention team
• Weekly Petty Cash expenditure reporting
• Weekly upload of bank statement into Oracle
• Weekly AP payment reconciliations in Oracle
• Monthly Gift voucher liability reconciliations and reporting
• Month-end functions & reporting

• Monthly Sales reconciliations (Futura vs. Oracle journals)
• Monthly Bank account reconciliations
• Monthly till difference journals
• Monthly cash-in-transit reconciliations and accounting
• Monthly Cash Clearing account reconciliations
• Monthly Centre Voucher liability reconciliations
• Monthly Turnover reporting
• Annual Sales audit certificate preparations and reconciliations
• Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Bachelor's degree with Accounting or Finance major
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Oracle Fusion experience (not mandatory)
• Experience with Microsoft office products
• PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL
• An understanding of core accounting principles, P&L, Balance sheets
• An ability to demonstrate Leadership experience
• Global experience, cross currency exposure
