Job Description
This is a hybrid eligible position with remote work consideration. This position may require planned visits to a Company office.
- Prepare Company, subsidiary, and nonprofit general ledger entries, reconciliations, exhibits and assist in periodic reporting.
- Support Company, subsidiary and non profit year end audits.
- Review and analyze monthly budget reporting to explain material differences, variances from plan, and reported metrics.
- Work with management to develop line of business allocation and additional operational metrics as needed.
- Work with management to support the annual budget process, annual forecast, line of business allocation and various expense studies.
- Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure correct classification, track unbudgeted items and items that materially vary from budgeted amounts.
- Work closely with Payroll to learn operational structure, benefits offered, etc. to support quarterly salary reporting, annual budget process and annual forecast.
- Develop knowledge to act as a back up for both Accounts Payable and Payroll as needed.
- Work closely with other departments regarding quarterly and annual reporting.
Required skills & experience:
- Minimum of 1year of experience in Accounting is required. Internship experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting is required.
- Experience with accounting software (especially Quickbooks) is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and organize a heavy workload.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.
Pay Range: $23.68 to $33.40 hourly
The starting pay rate for this role is based on a variety of relevant factors, including location, education, experience, and skills.
The level for this position will be determined based on factors including relevant skills, experience and other qualifications.
