Provides accurate, professional service to members with emphasis toward solution oriented assistance. Maintains an accurate knowledge of and complies with security procedures and internal controls. Provides general credit union loan information; interviews, takes applications and disburses the full range of credit union loans; perform all duties of the Loan Interviewer.
Responsibilities
- Professionally and proactively helps members in achieving their financial objectives with guidance and advice.
- Helps members anticipate potential problems, offering suggestions and possible solutions, as well as resolve potential problems to create a positive member solution.
- Understands members' needs and professionally promotes appropriate credit union products and services.
- Provides, in person or by telephone, routine information concerning credit union loan services or policies, including; but not limited to: loan options; interest rates charged on loans; how we compute interest on loans.
- Has a thorough knowledge of all products and services the credit union offers
- Opens new accounts for members.
- Responsible for promoting additional Loan Services.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Two years previous lending and/or financial institution experience preferred.
- Knowledge of loan policy and procedures.
- Loan interviewing skills and techniques.
- Punctuality, flexibility, organizational skills and a cooperative attitude.
- Bilingual candidates a plus.
