Position Summary:
The Retail Pharmacy Account Manager is responsible for revenue generation for NHA's Retail Pharmacy Channel. This will be accomplished through phone and web-based strategic sales techniques to growing retail pharmacy corporations and their relevant divisions (i.e. big box chains, mid-sized regional stores, mail order pharmacies, pharmacy services organizations, etc.) The Retail Pharmacy Account Manager will be responsible for nurturing existing leads and identifying opportunities to upsell and grow existing accounts and converting opportunities to sales. The Retail Pharmacy Account Manager will also be responsible for communication, opportunity pipeline management, relationship development of existing retail pharmacy customers, and collaborating with Client Experience and Customer Service to ensure a seamless and positive user experience of NHA solutions for pharmacy personnel.
This individual will be working with stakeholders and decision makers in the pharmacy market, focusing mainly on retail pharmacy operations and pharmacy training managers.
The primary responsibility of this pharmacy sales professional is to drive revenue by understanding pharmacies business needs and recommending full solutions that align with their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Identify sales opportunities within existing partner pharmacy corporations. Work directly with pharmacy-based training program administrators and operations managers to identify their struggles and needs for training and certification resources.
- Position NHA's pharmacy products as full solutions to their growing need for interactive, engaging resources that empower their workforce.
- Manage a strategic plan for growing NHA's existing retail pharmacy channel
- Create tactics for individual accounts (pharmacies) to identify business needs and effectively communicate the value of certification and full solutions.
- Manage multiple sales opportunities at once, with activities such as virtual and in-person sales presentations, writing proposals, phone and email e-mail communication to ensure successful closure of opportunities and attainment of sales quota. Learn and work within the buying and decision-making process for pharmacy corporations.
- Coordinate implementation activities with pharmacy staff and NHA Client Experience.
- Lead regular account reviews to ensure products are used correctly and to the customers' full benefit.
Job Specifications:
- BA/BS required
- Minimum 5+ years of sales experience with a proven record of success
Skills and Abilities:
- Possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, problem solving skills and pursuit of knowledge.
- Demonstrated proficiency in presenting to small and large group audiences either in-person, via conference call, and/or in web enabled environments using PowerPoint and other technologies. Proficiency is defined as being a clear, concise, error-free, yet persuasive through strong spoken and written communications.
- Ability to ask the best question to identify client needs and position NHA's pharmacy products as viable solutions. Participation in formalized sales training preferred.
- Ability to gain consensus from pharmacy stakeholders, across multiple departments, and ask for commitment to confirm a sale.
- Ability to successfully collaborate and communicate with NHA team members to ensure strong, positive, and profitable client relations by offering continuous support throughout and beyond the sales process.
- High sense of urgency and focus on creating a positive client experience. Demonstration of a high level of professionalism is critical.
- Outreach is expected. Ability to leverage social media tools (e.g., LinkedIn) is important.
- Must be able to manage multiple products, priorities and meet deadlines.
- Some pharmacy related experience with a demonstrated understanding of pharmacy operations and business structure is a plus.
- Project Managing - ensuring that once products are delivered, loaded and available, that the customer is engaged and motivated to use the products and services according to their objectives.
- Strategy - finding solutions that fit the customers' intended outcomes. Identifying and calculating how many products, how often the courses should be run, etc.

- Ability to travel to client locations, corporate training, trade-shows and national sales meetings. Travel is (typically) approximately two or three weeks a year.
- Has experience at building relationships through participation at conferences and events.
- Microsoft Dynamics is a plus. Experience using a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) is critical.
- Conducting effective, efficient, and professional communications to achieve performance metrics is essential and required.
