Job DescriptionUnder the supervision of the department manager, your main mission will be to purchase and manage precious metal and catalyst inventories. More specifically, you will:
- Conduct research for potential suppliers;
- Obtain business appointments;
- Update information in a computerized database;
- Maintain good rapport with all business partners;
- Prepares bids;
- Monitor metal market prices on a daily basis;
- Keep yourself up to date with the latest market movements to assess risks;
- Validate material received to ensure compliance with purchase specifications;
- Document and formalize procedures.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in sales
- New Business Development must
- Be out in the field 75% of the day
- Ability to work in an Industrial environment where metals are graded/processed and recycled.
- Ability to build trust, persuade and establish lasting relationships;
- Good negotiator;
- Self-starter, resourceful, interpersonal skills, and drive are required for the position;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Good analytical skills.

This Is a CAT BUYER position. You will be going to wrecking yards etc. to buy Cat Converters.
Account Manager Catalytic Converter Buyer in Cleveland, OH position pays a base of approximately; $50 to $60k a year max. Its a full time position M-F with full benefits after 90 days. Must be a DRIVEN person that pushes themselves. Salaried position with flexible 8+ hour schedule once training is completed. There will be a 2 to 3 month paid training period. There are no commissions as prices in metals fluctuates daily. However, there are bonuses paid for qualified items you buy. You will be handling cold calling, customer account management and canvassing for new business 75% of your time will be out in the field. Company vehicle is provided (for work only) and a gas card and reimbursement for hotels & meals out of town if needed.
