We specialize in the development and production of a wide range of premium quality ball bearings for electrical motors, gearboxes, power tools and the automotive industry. We also specialize in ball nuts and ball screws for automotive and industrial customers.

Account Manager - Automotive Parts
Reports to Sales Director - Automotive
Classification: Salaried Exempt

Job Summary:
The Account Manager will be responsible for growing existing accounts, develop new accounts and establish strong contacts with customers. They will initiate, and follow up on, new product development opportunities and growth opportunities to support the company.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Strategically grow the market share in the account
  • Maintaining credibility and trust in the account
  • Contract management / facilitate negotiations
  • Ensuring contract terms are honored
  • Recognize/see the opportunities where CW can bring more value
  • Always be searching for the win-win opportunity
  • Build relationships with customers and obtain information on their market trends and value points
  • Spend time at customer sites developing relationships
  • Translate Voice Of the Customer (VOC) input into CW road maps, engineering changes, and/or new project efforts
  • Coordinate Customer Relationship Management software activities and Plant Sales Forecast and Actuals data for accurate planning and effective decision-making
  • Establish and execute account plans based on short and long-term goals; Identify long-term business opportunities with the account(s), and include these in the account strategy
  • Contribute to develop the sales plan, both strategically and tactically
  • Monitor the account’s payment behavior and act to ensure payment within the agreed payment terms
  • Work closely with global Key Account Manager and colleagues from other global regions

Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Balance of commercial and technical know-how, skills and experience
  • CRM experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external customers/contacts, including the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team- oriented environment.
  • Excellent personal computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must have experience in the automotive manufacturing/production field
  • Must be able to travel; primarily domestic and occasionally internationally

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in science/technology and/or business-related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing sales/account management required

Physical Requirements
Positions at CW may require the following: alternating between sitting and standing; climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolding or ramps; crouching/stooping; driving; near/far visual acuity; fine motor manipulation; gross motor manipulation; hearing; keyboarding; kneeling; lifting/carrying; moving objects; peripheral visual acuity; pushing or pulling; reaching overhead or below; repetitive task performance; sitting; speaking; standing; using foot or leg controls; walking.
Environmental Requirements
Our manufacturing facility is a climate-controlled environment. There is no long-term exposure to dangerously loud noise or extreme temperatures.
Cognitive Requirements
Cognitive abilities include executing tasks independently; learning and/or memorizing tasks; maintaining concentration/focus on tasks; working with/in close proximity to, other people.
Attendance Requirements
All hourly team members are expected to report to work and be ready to work at their scheduled start time. It is required that they adhere to and follow the attendance policy(ies).
All salaried team members are expected to perform their duties/responsibilities in a timely manner. Although they may not have set schedules, they are expected to either be at work on a schedule agreed upon by their manager or be available via phone/text/Teams if working remotely (Remote work does not apply to CWM positions).
