About Us:

Located in Marlborough, MA, Guardian Energy Management Solutions is a leading energy services company (ESCO) that offers energy efficiency services, electrical Vehicle Charging, Electrical/HVAC/BAS project scoping, and turnkey project implementation services. We focus on design/build projects that help reduce energy usage (gas, oil, electric, etc) in New England for non-residential building owners and operators. We are seeking a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record of success selling energy efficiency and capital projects for commercial buildings.

Position Summary:

With Electric Vehicles expected to be nearly 30% of new vehicle sales by 2025 and more than 50% by 2040, electrified mobility is quickly becoming a reality. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Account Executive to join our team. The Account ExecutiveElectric Vehicle Charging will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial Electric Vehicle Charging market in New England. Under general direction, you will be responsible for executing the sales process and developing a positive ongoing relationship with Guardian customers. Throughout this process, a successful Account Executive will identify prospects, determine customer needs, and develop sales strategies to meet those objectives while closing sufficient sales to meet sales plan objectives. Additionally, maintaining an active proposal backlog and conducting building surveys to support the development of estimates will be key to success. In support of the sales process, the Account Executive will develop and maintain an ongoing relationship with customers to ensure that Guardian is meeting their requirements and therefore ensuring long-term customer loyalty.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities through networking, outbound communications, industry events, and other means.
  • Excellent communication skills; must have the ability to persuade and close sales and have the ability to handle a variety of situations encountered during sales process and be disciplined to work with limited supervision.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Excellent initiative, and interpersonal communications skills; able to work with coworkers and clients
  • Eager and committed to working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial company.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence the market at key levels.
  • Ability to handle a variety of situations encountered during the sales process.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in Electric Vehicle Charging or related industries such as solar, industrial, energy efficiency, etc.
  • Knowledge of Electric Vehicle charging incentives and/or policies
  • Able to use conventional business tools including CRM Systems, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule
  • Valid driver's license, available for local travel
