Responsibilities Job Summary The role of the accessibility compliance coordinator is to ensure 508-compliance for both existing and future Jefferson digital products. This role will ensure alignment with accessibility best practices and help facilitate standardized guidelines from a variety of perspectives, including human-centered design and development. The accessibility compliance coordinator will advocate for the importance of continued adherence to established standards, be actively committed to accessibility accountability, and promote meeting the standards they help institute at Jefferson.

Essential Functions Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. (Do not delete, move or over-write this statement) Account for potential accessibility issues during project initiation Provide expertise on accessibility best practices Present ideas and strategies to stakeholders for consideration Coordinate with project/product team to ensure accessibility is accounted for in all areas and stages of the roadmap Use a variety of automated and manual tools for testing products in development or launched products or interfaces (kiosks, web sites, intranets, dashboards, displays etc.) Proactive assessment of existing tools/products, etc. to maintain compliance Periodic accessibility audits as part of ongoing work Remediation of any issues identified in audits, either individually or in tandem with other internal team members Engage with internal teams and other Jefferson departments to promote team collaboration and communication Encourage education of team members in accessibility guidelines relevant to their work Maintenance of ongoing documentation, including creation of templates to standardize prioritization, and establishment of archival architecture Active risk management to ensure 508-compliance Qualifications Education: Bachelors' degree in User Experience, Computer Science, or related field required.

Master's degree in Accessibility, Diversity, Human-Centered Design, or related field is preferred. AND Experience: 2-3 years of digital accessibility compliance experience required. Experience with VPATs strongly preferred.

Experience in healthcare or technology field strongly preferred. Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements: Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) or equivalent, required. Additional certifications and efforts to stay current with WCAG guidelines and best practices preferred.
