JOB DESCRIPTION
X8 is looking for a cleared Access Operations Expert to join a federal opportunity with USCYBERCOM. In this role you will analyze MITM, MOTS, phishing, service based and LOTL operational business processes that support the evaluation and employment of USCYBERCOM, JCW, J9 cyber capabilities. This position is on-site in Columbia, MD.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Build access generating systems that assist exploitation analysts and operators with targeting, mission planning and capability pairing.
- Coordinate development efforts using SAFe Agile practices to ensure multiple Access Operations capabilities meet the evolving needs of USCYBERCOM warfighters.
- Collect user comments, suggestions, and feature requests to improve capabilities, support automation and ensure these systems improve the user experience in operations.
- Drive product success on programs by drafting features, collaborating with the J3 and CTOC representatives and meeting with users to hear their perspective.
- Conduct system demonstrations to a variety of users and interested parties locally, on site or virtually.
- Assess viability of integrating external systems or modules to meet the needs of mission teams related to automating operational processes, and access generation.
- Coordinate with other program managers.
- Advocate, write, and collaborate with other cyber operations SMEs to help think beyond normal boundaries to see what is possible for the Command and its mission.
- Develop, review, and edit proposals, policies, whitepapers, and research to help the Command build the next generation of cyberspace capabilities.
WHAT SKILLS YOU'LL BRING
- Master's degree and 5 years of related cyber operations and analysis experience OR Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience, OR 10 years of related experience with no degree.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting USCC, NSA, IC Access Operations as either an analyst or operator.
- Preferred familiarity with dataflows within the DoD or IC and data storage options like AWS.
- Possess knowledge of the normal military planning processes and time planning operations within USCC.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python), containerization, cloud services and knowledge of MITM/MOTS TTPs are a plus.
MINIMUM CLEARANCE REQUIRED
- Current and Active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph
COMPENSATION
- Pay Range: $198,000 - $210,000 (depending on experience, education)
- Up to 5% annual salary retention bonus
- Up to $5,000 continuing education reimbursement
