Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support and assistance to design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy a modernized Business Master File (BMF) platform.
- Support day-to-day Operations and Maintenance (O&M) work based on IRS priorities.
- Provide project management, O&M, development, modernization, enhancements, software development, legislative changes, and developmental O&M upgrades.
- Translate assembly logic to modern constructs such as mapping assembly instructions to equivalent Java code using loops, conditional statements, functions, and object-oriented design patterns.
- Use Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence (ADDI) insights to help team members pinpoint potential issues during modernization.
- Develop solutions and mitigate identified risks.
- Past development/architecting experience.
- Experience refactoring code.
- A broad range of programming experience with an understanding of object-oriented programming principles, Java Syntax, libraries, frameworks, and best practices.
- Experience with full-stack development.
- An ability to learn ADDI and Advanced Resource Connector (ARC) Accelerator Toolsets.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Possess a familiarity with other z/OS analysis or development tools.
