Academic Lab Assistant

Posting Summary:The primary function of this position entails facilitating and instructing multiple sections of general chemistry laboratory and recitation. This includes preparing for recitation and lab, conducting recitation sessions and lab sections, holding office hours, attending course trainings and meetings, grading lab work, and assisting with the course exam proctoring and grading.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry and one year related laboratory experience required. Thorough understanding of general chemistry concepts and general chemistry laboratory methods required.
Desirable Qualifications:Prior teaching experience desirable.
Anticipated Pay Range:$23.50-$25.50/hour
