SalaryThe Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with Elmhurst Hospital Center, serving the culturally diverse community of Western Queens, has an exciting opportunity for a full time Hospitalist to join the dynamic and growing Hospitalist division.
Primary responsibility is ward attending coverage of the teaching service. Other clinical time will be allocated to optimize the interest and skill-set of the physician on services including non- teaching inpatient, medical consults & the observation unit.
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in education, public health & quality improvement. There is opportunity and support for professional development under these pillars as well as opportunity for movement into leadership positions.
The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.
Candidates must have an MD degree and be board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine. Valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number required prior to start date. We offer faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. Sub-specialists welcome, with opportunity to develop unique hybrid roles. We are unable to sponsor visas for this position.
