About us

NEW AGENDA is a research-based Academic and Life Skills Coaching practice with emphasis on executive function skills for ages 9 – 99. We work with clients to improve their executive function skills in academics, careers, and Lifestyle management.

You will work one-on-one with students who have Executive Function challenges either in person or virtually. You will be responsible for creating goals, strategies, and supports to work on executive function skills.

When you first meet your client, you will work with the client/family to set measurable goals. Weekly you will meet with your client in-person or virtually (pre-determined by client) to provide coaching. After each meeting, you will update the client’s progress on the client portal. Midweek, you will need to briefly contact your client (through the portal) to check their progress.

At New Agenda, we believe in a relationship-based approach. Clients are more motivated when they have a connection with their coach. We will work with your skills and your comfort level to best match you with our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive function coaching services to clients, focusing on their personal goals with the development of executive function skills.
  • Review assessments with the client to identify clients' strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop personalized coaching plans and strategies to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Guide clients in setting realistic and achievable objectives.
  • Support clients in enhancing their executive function skills
  • Offer guidance and feedback to clients on their performance and progress.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop action plans and strategies for overcoming challenges.
  • Provide weekly coaching and mid-week support and motivation to help clients stay focused and committed to their goals
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in executive function coaching.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • A background check will be required
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, education, speech-language therapy, occupational therapy) with master's level and above preferred.- Proven experience in executive function coaching or a related field.
  • Experience and working knowledge of ADHD
  • Ability and desire to work as part of a professional interdisciplinary team
  • Flexibility to work on evenings and/or weekends to be responsive to parent and student availability.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to meet with clients in their home and/or virtually
  • Possess excellent customer service, interpersonal and written communication skills that reflect sensitivity to their audience (parents, school staff, mental health professionals)
  • Maintain effective working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population
  • Interact with other employees, students, and the public in a helpful, courteous, and friendly manner
  • Flexibility and professionalism to respond productively to unexpected occurrences in operation and with clients
  • Keen ability to adapt to personal learning styles of individual clients; compose correspondence and accurate reports with direction
  • Analyze situations accurately and take appropriate action
  • Communicate effectively in English
  • Follow and give oral and written directions
  • Ability to use computers, including video communication platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet
  • General knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.)

Preference will be give to:

  • Master’s level or doctoral level special education teachers, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and/or speech-language pathologists with 3+ years related experiences
  • Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Experience with Intellectual Disabilities
  • Coaches who can commit to multiple clients per week

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $57.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 15 per week
