Description: This position provides support to clients of Green Acres Wellness. Green Acres Wellness is a drug and alcohol detox/residential treatment program. Behavioral Health Technicians are responsible for daily observations of clients and the completion of all shift reports into the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system. BHTs help guide the patient on appropriate behaviors, complete accountability checks which include travel at times with company vehicle, and complete cleanliness reports. They report to the Executive Director of Operations.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Commitment to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Understanding of Green Acres Wellness purpose & culture
- Previous experience working with substance abuse preferred
- Employment contingent upon clear UDS screen and criminal history record
- Good interpersonal skills
- 6 months of sobriety if in recovery
- Drivers license in good standing
Functions:
- Monitor and document client medication observations.
- Complete observation checks on clients. Must ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Responsible for completing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) shift reports in a clear and timely manner.
- Complete daily room checks and ensure living spaces are clean, per the program’s guidelines.
- Operations, or any other safety reasons that should warrant suspicion.
- Complete searches upon new admissions.
- Orient patient to the program upon admission.
- Enforce program guidelines
- Responsible for processing intakes and new admission paperwork, when applicable.
- Responsible for taking inventory of supplies.
- Provide support to clients.
- Assist with the transportation of clients as needed

Experience:
- Addictions Treatment Center: 1 year (Preferred)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
License:
- CPR/First Aid (Preferred/Required within 4 months of hire)
