MIW has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Network Engineer/Architect to join a team providing services to one of the country's largest cellular operators.
The successful candidate will join MIW's existing, high-performance team engaged in the development, testing, deployment, and support of a proprietary automated network testing platform for a US Tier 1 cellular network operator. The team collaborates with the automation tool architects and developers, test equipment OEM, and our client's internal platform/ service owners to identify and implement automation to increase the efficiency and accuracy of network testing. This team is supporting automation on both legacy networks/ services and new/emerging networks/ services including 5G and FirstNet. This requires personnel with excellent communication skills, expert knowledge in troubleshooting telecom networks and services, and a hunger to learn more about new technologies.
Please Note: This role is a full-time, hybrid (2x/week onsite) opportunity with one of our clients. Well-qualified candidates may be considered for fully remote.
Responsibilities:- Create and maintain network testing plans.
- Troubleshoot issues in test environments.
- Support deployment and upgrades applications at the lab as well as production from E2E network level.
- 10+ years 4G/LTE call flow and network knowledge.
- 3 years 5G call flow and network knowledge.
- 4G/5G call flow experience.
- Troubleshooting experience.
- Familiar with network virtualization, such as SR-IOV, DPDK
- Familiar with Basic Linux Operations
- Familiar with Web applications, software architecture, and software design.
- Experience working in an Agile environment preferred.
- Jira/QC Experience preferred.
