Job description

The Company will be accepting resumes/applications for a full time opening in the Shipping & Receiving Department.
Typical responsibilities of the 3rd Shift Shipping & Receiving Supervisorinclude:
  • The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor has the authority and primary responsibility for assuring effective supervision of the materials handling and receiving processes, making certain activities conform to management’s objectives and department policies.
  • Hires and terminates assigned union hourly personnel with concurrence of Distribution Manager.
  • Assures that all products are produced and distributed under food safety and quality guidelines of the FDA and our customers.
  • Constantly monitors and measures, in coordination with the Food Safety Team, the organization’s performance in food quality and food safety to meet our corporate goal of being World Class and World Competitive.
  • Supports the organization’s commitment to ensure that our food safety and quality plans conform to all regulatory requirements and with food quality and safety requirements of our customers and reports any problems or penitential problems observed concerning food safety and quality to Supervision immediately.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:
  • Possess 2+ years of manufacturing supervision experience and machine troubleshooting. Manufacturing knowledge and understanding of plant efficiencies and processing procedures.
  • Ability to coach, motivate and develop skill sets of employees in a world class food manufacturing environment.
  • High awareness and strong commitment to plant safety, food safety and quality standards.
  • Must possess a high level of technical proficiency to assist operators in problem solving while exercising considerable judgment.
  • Strong listening , interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and planning skills.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple assignments with challenging timelines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Possess a positive, supportive and team oriented attitude.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse work group at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 10:30pm-7:30am with one hour lunch.
