Salary### Duties:
- Maintain and update health information records in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
- Organize and file patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Retrieve and deliver patient records as requested by healthcare professionals.
- Review records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with coding and indexing medical information for proper classification and storage.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation of patient care.
- Respond to requests for medical records from authorized individuals or organizations.
- Maintain electronic health record systems and ensure data integrity.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
### Experience:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare or medical records setting preferred.
- Familiarity with health information management systems and software.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and regulations (e.g., ICD-10, CPT).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in English required; Spanish language skills a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Basic math skills for data entry and record keeping.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
