3rd Shift Forklift Operator - Part-time

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Forklift Operator to be based out of Chino, CA.  Reporting to Warehouse Supervisor, this person will be responsible for loading and unloading tractor-trailer trucks, flat beds and van semi-trucks using a High Capacity forklift (8K,10K & 12k capacity) with 7’ long forks, Reach Truck, Order Picker or pallet jack, pick orders at expected production levels while meeting quality standards accurately using RF Scan Gun while operating a forklift.

Hours will be Tuesday - Saturday

12am - 5am

 What you’ll do:

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Pull Orders utilizing 8K,10K,12K lbs. High Capacity Sit Down Forklift
• Load 10’ to 20’ bundles safely while maneuvering through warehouse
• Load and configure Flatbeds with multiple stops ensuring weight is distributed evenly
• Load and Unload PVC or Steel conduit Safely in Rainy weather conditions.
• Perform Cycle Count as required
• Pull Orders utilizing 8K,10K,12K lbs. High Capacity Sit Down Forklift
• Operate different types of equipment dependent on job to be executed.
• Ensure tasks are performed according to standard operating procedures and regulations
• Warehouse organization
• Identify Safety Hazards in the workplace
• Attend the daily GEMBA meeting with management and other distribution employees
• Assist in meeting performance to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation goals 

What you’ll bring:

• The ideal candidate will have previous experience driving a high-capacity forklift in a distribution center or Pipe/Lumber yard using a forklift with 6’ or 7’ forks. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Good attendance and punctuality
• 1 – 2 years of JDE or WMS experience preferred
• Detail oriented
• 2 - 5 years experience driving industrial equipment

Within 3 months, you’ll:

• Complete any required training
• Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
• Be well-versed in Atkore’s Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.

 Hourly Rate:  $20.25 + $1.00 Shift differential
