Volunteer Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic and empathetic individual to join our team as a full-time 3rd Shift Crisis Response Specialist. In this role, you will primarily work a schedule that is Thursday through Sunday from 10 pm until 8 am, along with weekends as needed. The expected pay starts at $20.67 per hour. DAY TO DAY

As a 3rd Shift Crisis Response Specialist, you provide essential assistance to individuals in crisis. You assess their situation, offer counseling, and connect them with appropriate services. Your compassionate and empathetic approach, along with your understanding of the least restrictive interventions, ensures effective support.

You demonstrate technical proficiency by efficiently using computer systems for information search and data entry. You respond rapidly to crisis situations, conduct evaluations, and enter data accurately. Your dedication extends to completing intake assessments and coordinating care for clients in specialized programs. Additionally, you follow up with clients within 24 hours to ensure understanding of instructions and acceptance of referrals. By participating in meetings, training, and supervision, you stay updated with the latest practices and regulations in the field.

Your role also includes state-mandated pre-screening interviews, contributing to vital assessments for the Certificate of Need process. This reflects your commitment to both clients and licensure requirements. Furthermore, you provide clinical reviews and support to staff members in need, utilizing your expertise. Your unique combination of compassion, technical competence, and unwavering commitment makes you a valuable asset in helping individuals through their most challenging moments!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology
  • Ability to maintain a courteous, diplomatic, and helpful orientation
  • Above average assessment skills, particularly for suicidal potential and potential to harm others
  • Ability to use good judgment and function well in pressure situations
  • Knowledge of commitment procedures and resources
  • Timely, accurate, and thorough documentation of client records as well as work activities
  • Certification in CPR and first aid, to be completed within the first 30 days of employment (we'll provide training)
