Kamps is a full-service pallet company meeting the needs of industries coast to coast. Kamps manufactures new pallets, reconditioned pallets, and recycles unrepairable pallets into mulch and bark. The manager of the on-site operation is responsible for the operational performance of the location. This shall include ensuring that the operation meets or exceeds all customer requirements regarding performance, quality, safety, and employee behavior. To meet these expectations, the manager must have strong management skills and communication skills. The manager shall communicate to senior management performance results and production forecasts on a daily basis. The manager shall also interact with service providers, vendors, and company executives.

Essential Functions:

• Enforcing safety policies and procedures
• Perform on-site HR function including but not limited to hiring and termination of employees.
• Manage to the HR policies/procedures and drive consistency
• Identify and develop direct reports
• Perform investigations
• Manage site cost. Includes but not limited to labor, forklift and building maintenance
• Build and maintain a strong relationship with customer; acknowledge and understanding customer demands
• Establish and develop relationships with vendors and transportation
• Driving operations in direction to meet and exceed company defined metrics
• Make strategic decisions and execute to completion
• Perform quality audits
• As tasks are assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Managing a 3PL facility preferred
• Strong production and/or warehouse experience
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Engaged in the day-to-day operation
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Self-motivating as well as motivating direct reports
• Ability to manage with minimal support
• Strong management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Managing multiple shift operations
• Experience with Computers, including Excel, Outlook, and cloud based accounting software.
• Data entry
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong Organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
