JOB DESCRIPTION
NY Enrichment Group seeks several reliable, self-motivated, independent, fun-loving, 3D printing Instructors to join our team. The 3D printing instructor will develop, plan and lead hands-on 3D Printing projects. The successful candidate will create opportunities where students are active, safe, and respectful while developing leadership and conflict-resolution skills. The instructor must be enthusiastic and exhibit a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to the communities we serve and demonstrate the ability to motivate, inspire and educate. We are seeking a passionate, motivated and creative professional who truly enjoys enriching the lives of children.
Duties include:
Leading 3D Printing classes for youth in middle school
Creating curriculum & lesson plans for each session.
Facilitating classes that follow a social group work model
Responsible for managing a classroom of 15-20 students
Prep for classes: arriving 15 minutes to set up and prepare to start class on time.
Clean up: must leave locations in the condition found, or cleaner.
Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, and scholars.
Follow up after classes with NYEG Director of Operations.
Maintain a positive, healthy, safe, supportive and welcoming environment.
COVID vaccination REQUIRED.
Requirements:
Candidate should be highly responsible, reliable, punctual, flexible, outspoken, honest, self-motivated, and work with integrity. This is an independent role, with little direct supervision.
Candidate should be comfortable working with children, and comfortable working independently leading a class of students. Candidate should be a clear communicator, have a positive attitude, and be able to manage a classroom effectively.
Relevant performance experience
Preferred but not necessary:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
At least 2 years of experience working with youth
Teaching experience and classroom management skills
A knowledge of, and willingness to teach robotics
