About The Role
A skilled professional with a deep understanding of science, physics, materials, mathematics, and engineering principles, including the ability to apply stimulation and structural analysis and skilled with Solidworks. This position entails using computer-aided design software in creating and designing technical drawings, products, equipment, and structures.
Responsibilities
- Designing project frameworks related to 3D
- Producing detailed construction and design plans for architects and engineers from other disciplines to follow
- Collaborating with industrial and packaging engineers to develop, manufacture and market products
- Making time and expense estimates on a project basis
- Creating two and three-dimensional technical drawings
- Designing, renderings and elevations using computer software
- Choosing which materials to use for a product, using DFMA techniques for material selections, part selection, and process selection.
- Developing procedures and standards for a design team
- Finding technical solutions to meet a client's goals
- Training and offering support and guidance to their team
- Adequate understanding of GD&T standards
- Ability to design for welding, sheet metal, and general fabrication needs
Requirements and Skills
- 3-5 years of working experience
- Business savvy
- Attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Being able to think creatively while troubleshooting
- Ability to make smart design decisions
- Innovated thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use computer software and programs to code, program, design and conduct tests.
- Advanced mathematical, science and technology knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of engineering (computer, design, manufacture, mechanical, product design, technology, etc)
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must have experience using Solidworks
- Must have working experience using ANSYS or equivalent software
- Ability to commute to work daily
- Ability to work individually or with teams of engineers
