- Showcase great use of 3D motion design, flow, timing and beat
- Strong sense of Art Direction
- 2D and storyboarding skills a solid plus
- Be able to tell a story with visuals and strong editing skills
- Confident use of design, colors, and composition
- Showcase excellent understanding of animation principles
- Able to think outside the box and showcase ideas in abstract and visually interesting ways
- Houdini 3D Generalist
- Show high class texture and lighting work and different styles
- Showcase visual effect and simulation work, particularly fluids, dynamics, and particles
- Environment building and use of proceduralism
- Understanding of pipeline and proper movement geometry between software packages
- Showcase development and use of artist friendly HDAs
- Showcase good use of camera and animation
- High end composition and editing work
You will be joining an agile, full-service marketing team. We tackle fun, challenging projects, and maintain creative control throughout the process. This position is full-time, with the possibility of remote or hybrid options. We look forward to reviewing a portfolio of your current work.
In this role, you will :
- Take a key role in our motion and animation team
- Communicate directly with our Brand, Project Managers, and Engineers
- Help produce both technical and creative marketing animations and content
- Help bring technical concepts into visual styles
- Interpret storyboards and art direction and apply it through motion
- Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of creatives
- Develop concepts and final, polished artwork for marketing campaigns and tradeshow events, informed by research, brand positioning, and business objectives
- Work well individually and as a part of our animation team
- Edit for errors to produce accurate, high-quality work
- Follow best practices for file and asset management in a shared server environment
- Continue to evolve skills and technique
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Communication/Fine Art, Marketing, or related discipline
- Experience with mechanical animation, motion design or advertisement animation
- Current showreel displaying 3D and 2D animation capabilities, colors, composition, motion, and flow
- Current portfolio displaying photoreal 3D renders
- Excellent generalist skills in one or more of our major DCCs, Houdini, 3ds Max or C4D.
- Experience and knowledge of V-Ray, Redshift 3D and/or Karma.
- Experience with Thinkbox Deadline a plus
- Excellent composition and editing skills using After Effects, Nuke or similar software.
- Technical knowledge and experience with CAD models
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
- Skilled at multitasking across multiple projects
- Showcase great understanding of animation principles and shot-to-shot transitions
- Ability to conceptualize and communicate visually with strong composition skills
- Ability to create and conceptualize strong styles and art direction
- Ability to understand and implement brand standards
- Ability to absorb and execute artistic direction/feedback
- A strong will to learn and grow as a 3D Artist
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with excellent time management
- Awareness of current design trends
