The 30K Program Office is responsible for executing product improvement plans to improve the safety, reliability, performance and durability of the 30K portfolio on-plan and within budget. The PW1100G-JM powers over 1,300 Airbus A320NEO family aircraft and has accumulated over 19M flight hours since entering into service.
The 30K Program Office Fleet team is seeking a Safety Manager to track all Fleet Safety items and fleet incorporation of corrective actions. In this role, you will build effective working relationships across the many P&W functional groups, including Engineering, Quality, Customer Technical Services, Aftermarket, Aftermarket Operations, Industrial and Warranty. Fleet safety is at the core of our values and is top priority for the 30K Program Office, and this role is critical in the support of our Safety Management Process.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsibility of all 30K tracked safety items, and corrective action burndown plans.
  • Develops fleet management plans to support Safety Risk Assessments (SRAs)
  • Support and contribute to quarterly safety reviews with Engineering teams (EPI and CIPTs)
  • Proactively identifies if the fleet incorporation of SRA corrective actions deviates from the approved plan and collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop recovery plans.
  • Generates business case and proposal for warranty support of safety items.
  • Reviews and notifies the fleet and customer facing teams of upcoming fleet action to adequately prepare the field for fleet action.
  • Tracks and monitors the incorporation of all safety-related Service Bulletins and Special Instructions
  • Aligns with PPE (Power Plant Engineering) to ensure all necessary fleet actions are incorporated during SV workscopes
  • Review potential/upcoming safety issues. Reports safety metrics to senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field and 8 years of experience in Engineering, Program/Project Management, Aftermarket, or Operations or an Advanced degree in Engineering or Business and 5 years of experience in Engineering, Program/Project Management, Aftermarket or Operations.
  • U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and manage a complex network of stakeholders across the business.
  • Excellent project and/or program management skills with ability to keep multiple priorities moving at the same time and remain knowledgeable about multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Strong influencer comfortable working across all levels of leadership
  • Collaborative, strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
