($3,000 Sign-On Bonus) Low Voltage Service/Pma Technician Licensed

Are you a licensed Journeyman and are wanting to try something new? We are excited to train licensed Journeyman in Low Voltage sector. 

Overall Responsibility:

APIC solutions is looking for an experienced PMA/ Technician! This position serves as the Low VoltageService/PMA technician for the Service division and will be supported by the Low Voltage PMA and Pre-deployment Manager, Low Voltage Service Manager, and Service Coordinator.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Responsible to perform preventative maintenance agreement work as directed and to APIC quality standards.

• Monitor, maintain, and provide detailed reporting of the overall health of customer’s systems.
• Provide all critical software/firmware updates to keep that system healthy and up to date.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair Low Voltage wiring systems such as but not limited to, security (burg)systems, fire alarms, nurse call systems, CCTV, and access control.
• Complete installations per company, engineering, and national code requirements
• Work in a safe and professional manner

• Provide technical support and problem solving.
• Perform in office predeployments and onsite deployment of large networks.
• Contact and communicate status with customers when in route, onsite site, and when leaving.
• Ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections are available to support the schedule.
• Maintain accurate timecard entries.
• Ensure PMA’s with Not to Exceed amounts are tracked and completed within the quoted amount.
• Communicate with LV PMA and Predeployment Manager all progress of any work that will require additional time.
• Attend meetings for PMA and Predeployment status, reports, and follow up.
• Email status of completed PMA’s to the LV PMA and Predeployment Manager before leaving site.
  • Email must include.
    • Status of building reports
    • Labor hours for travel with times
    • Labor hours for onsite with times
    • List of all materials provided or used.
    • List of equipment used.
    • Customer signoff or at a minimum, the name and contact information of the customer representative that was checked out with if the customer is not available to sign.
• Check-out with LV PMA and Predeployment Manager daily at end of day.
• Assist with select service call workorders when requested.
• Keep assigned company vehicle clean and organized.
• Maintain at least the minimum required tools to perform PMA work successfully.
• Complete and keep current on provided Avigilon training.
• Maintain required certifications and keep current with best practices and new product knowledge.
• Attend weekly Low Voltage Service meetings.
• Complete and turn in weekly required paperwork including:
  • Vehicle Inspections reports, expense receipts, and timecards

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience installing Low Voltage special systems and/or data infrastructure for medium and large commercial projects.
• Current Journeyman License (ES-3J, ES-7J or EE-98J)
• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and vehicle liability insurance.
• Must be willing and be able to travel. While travel is usually limited to a day trip, the candidate must be open to service that may require extended stays at longer periods of time.
• Ability to use a ladder, high lift, scissor lift, and bucket truck and work at heights.

• Understanding of basic customer relationship management.
  
• Be able to operate a windows-based PC and have a general knowledge of how IP addresses and networks work.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
