We are seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Trainer to help us launch new our new warehousing operations within our OEM client's facility. We are looking for someone with strong warehouse experience, including the safe operations of a variety of powered industrial truck equipment (e.g., forklift, reach, cherry picker, tugger, standup).
The Trainer/Instructor must be comfortable documenting/updating work instructions and training materials, teaching, and assessing knowledge and skills of new and existing team members. They will work with a diverse workforce including many non-native English speakers on day-to-day training needs, including new job training and safety. They are responsible for certifying PIT operators to company standards.
2nd Shift hours are 3:00 PM - 11:40 AM. Overtime and weekends may be required.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Trainer/Instructor
- Train on safety, processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to warehouse personnel.
- Create and lead training classes. Adapt corporate training for this site/operation.
- Deliver new hire training.
- Partner with team leads and supervisors to assess employees' on-the-job performance and training needs.
- Motivate employees to complete job functions and increase efficiency and quality.
- Train and certify all PIT operators to company standards.
- Maintain accurate training records and certifications for all PIT Operators.
- Proctor and grade exams.
- Perform on-the-floor evaluations and employee audits.
- Stay up to date with the latest information and safety requirements for the equipment in use.
- Maintain accurate training records.
- Help improve our training value and performance.
- Help implement or improve training procedures, documents or aids to be more effective or introduce new content.
- Use a variety of training methods, techniques, concepts, learning tools and practices to be as effective as possible.
- Participate in required trainer excellence extra learning.
- Work as a PIT Operator, if needed:
- Transport product throughout facility with use of one or more PIT
- Load and unload trailers for product shipping and receiving
- Place product on appropriate multi-level racking
- Follow stacking requirements
- Use scanner and verify correct product
- Keep work areas clean.
- Follow all safety rules and be an advocate for 6S at the site.
- Maintain training certification.
- Perform other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS - Trainer/Instructor
- At least 2 years as a trainer or team leader
- Enjoys learning and teaching others
- Certified as forklift trainer - or at least 5 years experience operating multiple PIT used in this operation and willing to become certified
- Excellent communication:
- written, verbal and teaching
- Spanish, highly desirable
