The 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the completion of all warehouse operations, under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor. This person is responsible for ensuring that all inventory is stocked and rotated, trucks are loaded for next day delivery, and warehouse is cleaned and ready for next day's operations.
This position is full-time working Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm until end of picking process with a flexible shortened Friday schedule.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Assist Supervisor with training and retain an effective team of part-time warehouse personnel, creating a culture of professionalism and accountability.
- Ensure that pick team accurately and safely picks all orders, building pallets according to Warehouse Management System specifications.
- Coordinate and participate in the ongoing physical inventory of warehouse items.
- Check quality of product prior to pulling order. Report poor quality items to management.
- Stack, wrap and label pallets correctly for each route.
- Stage pallets properly for efficient loading
- Ensure that trucks are loaded accurately for next day deliveries.
- Ensure that the team maintains a clean and safe warehouse, performing nightly housekeeping duties.
- Identify operational opportunities to improve our processes for greater efficiency, effectiveness or safety.
- Coordinate and participate in the ongoing physical inventory of warehouse items.
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack and man lift.
- Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years previous work experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Willing and able to take and pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Previous leadership experience a plus.
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions.
- Must possess a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, work well under time pressure and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
- Ability to focus on work while minimizing interruptions.
- Ability to add and subtract, using whole numbers and decimals..
- Perform basic computer related tasks including general email communications.
- Adhere to all safety laws, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to handle products generally weighing 45 - 165 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear. Ability to bend and stoop.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to operate and use all equipment (forklift, pallet jack and man lift) necessary to fill orders.
- Ability to Work in a temperature controlled environment from 43 - 65 degrees for extended periods of time if needed.
