2nd Shift Shipping Forklift

SUMMARY
Responsible for unloading material from incoming vehicles and stacking them to assigned places. Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pulls units from pack list.
Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner.
Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift.
Ensure warehouse FIFO procedure is followed.
Complete and document a forklift inspection form before start of shift and when operating a new forklift and turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
Remove Stock from finished good and load onto trucks.
Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas.
Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
Maintain accurate location of stock in storage area by paperwork and computer.
Assist other forklift operators as necessary.
Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
Previous experience operating a forklift

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License and/or other appropriate certification to work in certain areas or on certain equipment.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
