Summary:
This position is responsible for troubleshooting and repair of all control systems components including control panel wiring, hard-wired devices, instrumentation, I/O devices, Industrial networks, PLCs, HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), and Robotics.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
  • Ability to Interpret and mar-up electrical schematics
  • Ability Motor and Motor Control troubleshooting/repair
  • Use of analog meters to diagnose/calibrate instrumentation. (Ex. 4-20ma)
  • Troubleshoot & Program network capable high voltage Variable Frequency Drives
  • Troubleshoot, modify, repair, and program all types of PLC hardware including Discrete, Analog, Network, and Specialty Modules.
  • Upload/Download programs to and from programmable logic controllers
  • Proficient in interpreting complex ladder code
  • Proficient in programming/updating and converting older HMIs to Modern Standards
  • Program/update PLCs, including add on instructions, Parameters, Implicit and Explicit messaging, Producer and consumer, IO link and Guard Logix.
  • Maintain and interpret Ignition Scada
  • Maintain 2D/3D vision system Cognex, Keyence, etc.
  • Troubleshoot Maintain multi axis robots including palletizers, Delta Robots, and Line tracking
  • Update/Modify pick and place locations as needed using teach pendant or HMI
  • Coordinating with various levels of management, Maintenance and Engineering on all aspects of PLC and Robot control systems.
  • Responsible for all types of communication maintenance, RF, Modbus +, TCP/IP, fiber optic, and RIO.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Training beyond high school including either an Associate (A.S.) degree in Electronics Technology (or closely related technical field), or a combination of education and experience which may include skilled trades programs or military training.
Experience: 6+ years of automation experience and/or industrial maintenance experience. Must have experience with electrical troubleshooting, motor controls, electric motors, VFDs, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical components, and electrical circuits. Proficient use of various instrumentation utilized in troubleshooting and testing including volt/amp/ohm meter/DMM, megohmmeters and the ability to follow schematics. Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider PLC HMI is a plus. Knowledge of Industrial Network is a plus. Previous experience with Ignition Scada and script languages are a plus.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills; must have strong skills in document organization, the use of technical materials, and research techniques. Studio 5000, Factory Talk View Studio, RS500, Ignition by Inductive Automation Roboguide must either be proficient or become proficient in SAP Maintenance.
Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with all team members.
Special Skills: Must possess the ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of management and operations personnel; critical thinking and problem-solving skills; with strong interpersonal skills.
Certification: Certifications in any technical field or techniques is a plus.
