Job Description
$19.77/hour -Incremental raises starting at 30 days
o Knowledge of fixtures.
o Ability to accurately measure fractions and decimals.
o Experience operating robotic Welding Machines is preferred. (Ideally Miller (hand weld only), Fanuc/Lincoln (robot weld only) or OTC (robot and hand weld) models.)
Responsibilities:
o Reviews and accurately interprets blueprints/drawings for part number, weld symbols, tolerance, weld placement, dimensions, etc.
o Utilizes IQMS to correctly identify parts, determines part locations, checks inventory, closes out orders and other daily functions.
o Selects program that is on robot.
o Produces quality parts with few rejects and rework.
o Properly loads correct components into position in the fixture without excessive force.
o Properly unloads finished assemblies, inspects welds, identifies/marks, and repairs unacceptable quality problem areas.
o Uses a grinder to eliminate imperfections.
o Changes torch tips, cleans nozzles and other duties as directed for proper operation. o Changes wire and monitors gases.
o Cleans/Changes drive wheels when necessary.
o Capable of changing fixtures with assistance of supervisor.
o Stays within approved levels of robot manipulation (i.e., use Teach, Teach Enable, Block Forward, Block Back, and Wire Feed buttons). Always consults supervisor when problems cannot be resolved in above mentioned parameters.
o Keeps all fixtures in top condition. Notates any issues with fixtures with input to correct, repairs and resolves them.
o Completes in-house training and capable of operating all robotic welders. o Learns and demonstrates the ability to identify quality versus poor welding.
o Communicates inventory of consumable parts.
o Properly set up area for maximum efficiency.
o Serves as support for other Robotic Operators.
o Professionally communicates production issues, seeks clarification and resolution from front line employees and management.
o Performs tasks safely including wearing safety glasses and gloves as described in JHA requirements.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
o Balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and reaches to work overhead.
o Walks or stands for a minimum of 8 hours with limited breaks.
o Pushes and pulls materials, fingers and grasps parts and components.
o Exerts up to fifty pounds of force frequently.
o Pays close visual acuity to perform inspections and operate machines.
o Tolerates extremes in weather and machine temperature.
o Tolerates loud noise.
o Extensive use with power/hand tools.
o Requires visual acuity to access details (I.e., prints, parts, work orders, etc.)
o Requires communication skills so ideas and instructions can be given clearly and/or quickly and understood.
o Requires the ability to distinguish between speech, machinery, and other sounds to understand instructions and/or directions.
