Robot Weld Operator

Lou-Rich is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced second shift Robot Weld Operator to join our team. As a key player in the manufacturing process, you'll be responsible for operating and overseeing robotic weld machines, bringing our customers' products to life. Your expertise in GMAW welding and other related welding tasks will be crucial in ensuring the production of high-quality precision parts.

Requirements:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Robotic Welder and Fabricator to join our team at Lou-Rich, Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and overseeing robotic weld machines, performing manual and automatic GMAW welding, assembling parts with precision fixturing, and ensuring compliance with cosmetic and structural specifications. This role requires the ability to troubleshoot and operate complex fixtures, adapt to changing production needs, and deliver high-quality results that meet both internal and external customer requirements.


Essential Functions:

· High school Diploma or equivalent

· This person should have a minimum of three years of direct experience in production welding or a certified welding certificate and two years of production welding experience.

· Experience operating robotic welder is a plus but not required.

· Must be able to learn minimal machine maintenance, operate equipment, hand tools, operate a forklift and utilize windows-based computers and lift up to 50lbs and climb a ladder.

· Must be able to pass internal weld certification test within 6 months of employment.

Qualifications:

  • The welder is required to be on their feet for up to twelve hours using their hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear around machinery. They will also be required to frequently walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus on optical devices.
  • Perform math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Knowledge of decimals, fractions, and metric/English conversions
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities that result in reducing variation and waste in the manufacturing process.
  • Using a specified training format, work closely in training new welders.
  • Lift and position parts into fixtures
