2Nd Shift Production Worker I (4:00Pm -12:30Am)

JOB SUMMARY:

This position tends to special-purpose loading and unloading materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)

· Move and/or assist in moving material needed in production machines in an assigned production area.

· Assist in the loading and unloading of material in an assigned production area

· Transports material from one production area to another – by pushing/pulling a cart

· Assist in lifting and moving heavy loads as required

· Assemble glass packs as required by the production area

· Operate equipment to assist in the production process

· Assemble materials as required by the production area

· Inspect finished product for defects, to ensure that quality standards are met

· Ensures work area is maintained in an orderly and safe manner per company procedures.

· Other duties may be assigned by the management team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

H.S. diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

Prior experience in a production setting or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience in similar roles in a manufacturing environment. Experience in glass manufacturing desired

Basic Math--Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time up to 10 hours/day, to walk up to 10 hours/day and/or sit for up to 30-60 minutes/day, twisting or bending up to 10 hours/day, overhead work up to 10 hours as needed per production area.
• Ability to lift/pull/push 50 lbs. up to 50 % of the shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to work in a manufacturing/production shop environment as job duties require. May be exposed to loud operating machinery and hot/cold temperatures.

Use proper PPE as required per company policy.

Job Type: Full-time
