Job Description
SUMMARY STATEMENT OF WORK PERFORMED: Sets up and operates compression presses to produce molded parts in compliance with established safety regulations and SOIs.
$18/HR
HOURS: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM [Lunch: Flexible - Flexible]
Must be able to work overtime, including some Saturdays
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job follow. Management may assign other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Sprays mold with lube as required
Operates compression presses
Assembles and weighs preps according to molding specification
Loads prep into mold per molding specification
Closes mold and begins cure cycle
Unloads cured parts
Visually inspects parts for defects according to inspection standard
Trims, inspects and packs as required in finishing specifications
Records required information on reports

Various hand tools (scissors, awls, wrenches, brass hand tools, knives)

EXPERIENCE:

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read and comprehend SOIs, safety regulations and inspection standards
Ability to run multiple presses with different processes
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to
Continuously walk, stand, hear (more than 6 hours/8 hour workday)
Frequently talk; use hands and fingers to handle; reach with hands and arms (up to 6 hours/8 hour workday)
Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs. (less than 2 hours/8 hour workday)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Safety shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection are required.
Heat resistant gloves required on certain jobs
The ambient temperature in the work environment during the summer months can exceed 100 degrees.
Exposed to extreme surface temperature on molds
Remote work not allowed
Comments for Suppliers: Some overtime is required. Some Saturdays are required.
