2Nd Shift Lead Position

Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the assigned department to ensure that safety, production, quality, cost, customer service goals are met timely and efficiently.

Essential Duties of the Job but not limited to the following:

 Ensure that * workforce is performing assigned job

 Provide guidance and training to hourly workforce to ensure that safety, production and quality assurance goals are met

 Ensure that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.

 Monitor attendance

 Have a full understanding of how all machines operate

 Operate forklift

 Have a full knowledge of all formulations to each product to meet product specifications

 Prepare and submit all required reports on a timely basis

 Meet scheduled commitments on a timely basis

 Resolve (proactively) employee-disciplinary issues/concerns with assistance from Supervisor/Manager/HR

 Support plant’s good manufacturing program and participate in monthly audits

 Identify problem areas and solutions to the problems, involving Supervisor/Managers/Higher Level as required

 Communicate and work cooperatively with members of the department and other plant employees

 Comply with all Federal, State and Company Safety guidelines

 Work safe and use all safety devises to make others aware of any safety concerns

* Workforce indicates both QMM Employees and Temporary Workers

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, competency and skill and/or ability required.

Education and or Experience:

 High school graduate preferred, but not necessary.

 At 3 years experience working in a meat industry

 Must have a thorough understanding of Company policies and working rules

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
